However, not all of us necessarily have a thirst for learning history. In fact, there are so many facts, dates, and events that it can get pretty discouraging.

So, how do you become one of those educated people who not only know how to make a good Instagram post but also have a decent conversation on the Industrial Revolution, for example?

In the age of information, there are numerous courses and books that you can read and study, and it would be shameful not to use them. Although I have to mention that several free history courses were removed, and I can’t find them anymore. So here are the educational gems 2024 handpicked  for you:

1. Khan Academy  (author’s favorite)

The course is  organized chronologically, covering key periods and events in a structured manner. Here’s a breakdown of the major sections in chronological order:

After exploring this free course, it seemed almost too good to be true.

This course covers significant global events fromthe late18th century through the early 20th century. There are two parts to this course, so don’t hesitate to check out Part II as well!

3.World History Encyclopedia

I don’t mean to sound unprofessional, but this is such a cool source! This is a website that also has its own YouTube channel.

World History Encyclopedia (formerly Ancient History Encyclopedia), provides comprehensive articles, interactive maps, and multimedia content covering a wide range of historical topics. It aims to make history accessible to a global audience by offering well-researched and easy-to-understand content.
